(10206) Seydel Blues Session Paddy Richter Harmonica
Blues Session Paddy Richter Covers: Chrom. Diatonic Blues harp with plastic comb in extra tuning Paddy Richter. This harp is altered by the hole 3 blow note being raised by a whole tone - this is very useful for Irish and Celtic Music. Bending of this note in the normal tuning would be very laborious for fast jigs, but the rest of the harmonica follows standard Richter tuning. The name is a synonym for the Irish 'Paddy', and Richter refers to the closeness to Richter Tuning. This tuning was invented and named by Brendan Power, and first used on his New Irish Harmonica CD (in both diatonic and chromatic harmonica versions). He has written an instruction book/CD for the tuning called Play Irish Music on the Blues Harp, which is available from his website: www.brendan-power.com
